Breathe Easy groups in the North
There are
31 Breathe Easy groups across the region, which provide help, information and support to those
living with lung disease, their friends, family and carers. Groups get involved with many activities from
awareness raising to
fundraising. Group members enjoy regular meetings with a variety of speakers. There is plenty of opportunity for a cup of tea and a chat. Most groups organise a couple of outings each year. Raising awareness of lung disease in their community is very important. With support from the BLF, groups campaign with their MP and in local media to improve local and national services.
Local group meeting details are listed below. Please call the BLF North Office on 0191 263 0276 before going to your first meeting. They will give you the group contact number so that you can check the meeting is on.
NORTH REGION
Aire Valley
The group meets on the first Wednesday of the month, from 1.45 - 3.45pm

The group meets on the third Wednesday of the month, from 1.30 - 3.30pm
Doncaster
The group meets once a month on 3rd Thursday from 2.30 - 4.30pm.
Durham - East
The group meets on the third Monday of the month, from 11.00am - 1.00pm
Durham Dales
The group meets on the first Thursday of the month, from 2.00 - 3.30pm
Gateshead
