Breathe Easy Dudley & District win award
Breathe Easy Dudley & District have recently received a Breath of Fresh Air 08-09 Award in the category of Outstanding Contribution to BLF Projects this year. The group have made an outstanding donation over the year which is much appreciated by the BLF and will greatly assist them in their work on behalf of the 8 million people in the UK who live with any one of the 43 lung conditions. Congratulations and a big thank you to Breathe Easy Dudley and District!
Breathe Easy Week 2009
Breathe Easy Dudley & District, along with the Lung Function Unit nurses and physiotherapists, held an information/awareness stand in the foyer of Russells Hall Hospital. The stall holders were able to offer a tombola, ‘name-the-teddy’, a star raffle prize of a signed Villa football shirt and simple Breathing & Smokalizer tests.
Approximately 300 people showed an interest in the information available, with 40 people having spirometry tests. A total of £428 was raised over the 3 days. Pictured below left to right are Fay Chang, Andrea Biesty and Nicky Smith.
