This year for Breathe Easy Week we need your help. The aim of this year’s Breathe Easy Week is to raise awareness of obstructive sleep apnoea (OSA). Obstructive sleep apnoea is a condition that causes interrupted breathing when you are sleeping, damaging your health and leaving you tired during the day. It affects adults and children and is caused by a range of factors including obesity, enlarged tonsils, lifestyle and a deep set jaw.
We need your help!
We need your help to learn more about the problems experienced by people with obstructive sleep apnoea. We are calling on you to be our BLF investigator.
As a BLF investigator we ask that you help us to collect information about people who may be affected by obstructive sleep apnoea. We have put together a campaign pack (see 'Related links' on the right of this page) on how you can go about helping us. Inside the pack is a questionnaire form (see ‘related links’), which contains five questions.
We would like you to take that questionnaire form to your local awareness day event for Breathe Easy Week and ask members of the public or your family and friends to fill out the questionnaire.
After you have collected this information please send it to your local BLF office. You can find a list of our offices in the campaign pack. You can also email the forms over to us at .
There is also an online version of the sleep survey here.
