England and Arsenal Striker, Kelly Smith won the British Lung Foundation’s female Lungs of the Year to mark the British Lung Foundation’s national Breathe Easy Week 2008. The award was a framed photograph of a beautiful glass lung sculpture by award-winning artist Annie Cattrell.
Kelly says: “As a footballer for both Arsenal and England, I know just how important it is to look after my body and have a good diet; it helps me to keep at the top of my game. It’s fantastic to have won the British Lung Foundation’s ‘Lungs of the Year’ award. I am a great supporter of the work that the British Lung Foundation is doing to promote the benefits of having healthy lungs”.
