Sabah Zubaida has had a career in the investment banking industry spanning over thirty years. During this period, he was involved in running trading operations and in building infrastructure of a banking operation. He has particular interest in risk management and corporate governance.
1976 – 1989 Wood Gundy Inc (currently CIBC World Markets)
Started as graduate trainee and later on board member and head of the fixed income operations in Europe
1989 – 2007 Mizuho International plc (formerly IBJ International plc)
Head of fixed income operations in Europe and since 1995 was Chief Operating Officer of the bank.
From 2005 - 2007, advisor to the Chief Executive on a part time basis
2008 – Present Consultant for Aladdin Capital Management LLP.
A US fund manager of alternative assets
2006 – Present Non-executive director Mizuho Investment Management (UK) Ltd and a member of the Audit, Remuneration and Compliance Committee of the Board
