Marathon Man
The Support and Development Manager Robert Cooper, is trying to get fit and run the London Marathon to raise funds for the BLF.

Patient / Breathe Easy Member
Please share your views and experiences of respiratory services in the North West.
The North West Respiratory Clinical Pathway Team are working to improve respiratory care in the North West. The team invite you to share your patient experience of local respiratory services.

Patients are also invited to attend the North West 'Listening to your voice' event on 21 September 2011, Premier Suite, Haydock Park Racecourse, Merseyside from 10am-3 pm.

The survey is anonymous - (there is one question that asks for your postcode prefix to give us an indication of the geographic spread of responses) and we have included some 'free text' boxes for you to add comments.

Breathe Easy Stockport
Would like to invite you to their WCOPD Hotpot Supper and Dance on Friday 11 November 2011 at St Peters Church Hall, Stockport. Between 7.30pm - 11.00pm. Tickets cost £6.00. Come and join the group in the comfort of a warm hall and have a good old knees up and a gossip.

Congratulations to Breathe Easy Salford
BE Salford was invited to attend the 'Heart of Salford Award Ceremony', were they had been nominated for the award of 'Organisation of the Year'. We would like to congratulate the support group who won the award. It is a big achievement for the group, after all the effort and hard work. Congratulations !!!!
Breathe Easy Week 13th June 2011
The theme this year was Obstructive Sleep Apnoea.
There have been a 24 events across the region during Breathe Easy week, we would like to take this opportunity to thank all the group members, volunteers, health care professionals who made this possible!
Their was a variety of events across the Northwest region, many of which were to raise awareness, many groups had information stands in local super markets, and in hospitals. BE Tameside had a sleep apnoea consultant attend their group meeting, the event was advertised and open to all. BE Oldham and BLF Nurses had an awareness stand, were spirometry testing was offered. 
Isle of Man Patient and Carer Networking Events
The regional team have returned from the Isle of Man, after a successful two days. For details, about the days please see the event PDF for Monday and the PDF for Tuesday.
The team met with patients, carers, health care professionals and honorary guests and reached a total of 80 delegates.
Feedback was extremely positive with patients interested in launching a Breathe Easy group on the island, with 12 individuals interested in taking an active role in doing so. A meeting venue has already been offered free of charge to help set up a support group.
